The ensemble of the former baroque monastery and church now housing the Kiscelli Museum is on the hillside of located in the Buda side of the city. The place was also used as military barracks and hospital before it was purchased by the Vienna-based art collector and furniture manufacturer Max Schmidt in 1910, who turned it into a luxurious mansion. Besides exhibitions, the Museum is also available for private events. The Church Square (pictured), the Hall of Statues and the Inner Court offer 3 very different event spaces with various capacities. The Church Square offers the biggest event space for up to 300 guests for a seated reception.
